Join Our Team as an Estates and Facilities Manager
Designed around the principles of inspiration, visual communication and inclusivity, our award winning campus places the Academy at the cutting-edge of Deaf education in Europe. The Deaf Academy has a prominent position in Exmouth and plays an important role in preparing our students for a happy, healthy and fulfilling future whilst enabling students to get involved and socialise in the community. The inspiring buildings underpin our objectives to build confidence in our students, show them their value in the world and help them to believe they can achieve anything they want to do.
As the Estates and Facilities Manager, you will lead the estates, catering and cleaning teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment across our three sites. In addition to our main Academy (incorporating a school, college and residential service) we have a Children's Home and a Post-19 Adult Residential and Learning Centre. You will oversee the management and development of the sites, facilities and premises, with a focus on enhancing sustainability. Additionally, you will manage the risk assessments process and serve as the Academy Health and Safety Officer, ensuring quality assurance, monitoring and recording in these areas.
This role will be based on site and may require occasional out of hours support so would need to be within a reasonable commuting distance. There is the possibility of working one day a week from home.
