Become a Work-Related Learning (WRL) Coordinator at the Deaf Academy, Exmouth.

£13,780 TTO (0.6 FTE, 3 Days)

About the Role

As our WRL Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to develop and deliver impactful work-related learning experiences for Deaf students. You’ll build strong partnerships with local businesses, advocate for inclusive employment practices, and ensure our learners are supported, safe, and thriving in their placements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of Work-Related Learning across the Academy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external businesses to secure meaningful placements.
  • Deliver impartial careers guidance and support students in achieving their career goals.
  • Oversee health and safety audits, risk assessments, and placement documentation.
  • Support the development of supported internships and accredited programmes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance WRL opportunities.

We are looking for someone who is

  • Qualified or willing to train as an impartial careers advisor.
  • Experienced in coordinating work placements or careers programmes.
  • Skilled in building partnerships and advocating for inclusive practices.
  • Knowledgeable in safeguarding, health & safety, and learner development.
  • Confident in data analysis and reporting to inform strategic decisions.
