The Deaf Academy are recruiting for an Assistant Management Account to join our team. You'll be AAT qualified and have experience of a similar level of role and in the preparation of management accounts. You'll be experienced in reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results, using accounting software to best effect. This is an exciting new role for the academy within an established and friendly team, and is key role within the Finance team responsible for maintaining processes used for driving financial compliance and reporting within the Charity.
The role will include assisting the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts and preparation of monthly budget reports, monitoring/reporting variances against budget. You'll be preparing cash flow forecasts and monitor bank balances and maintain daily cashbook entries, undertake monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintain the fixed asset register and assisting with the preparation of the Annual Audit file, liaising with Auditors. There'll be tasks such as assisting with quarterly VAT returns, the preparation of termly fee logs and raising sales invoices, ensuring robust credit control. This role also has responsibility to line manage our Finance and Payroll Officer and overseeing of monthly payroll. The academy are also investing in a new finance software provider, so you'll also be assisting in sourcing and implementing this alongside the Finance Manager and CFO.
